Animation professional Gennie Rim conceived GRworks in 2012 to bridge the gap between creativity in commercial animation and fine art. Curating shows at her gallery GRspace, located in downtown LA’s burgeoning arts district, Rim is culminating her creative vision. Her recent show, “Ladies of Animation,” showcased works across many arts disciplines, from painting to illustration to hand-made plush toys. Of the female artists featured, Rim has known and/or worked with them since she was an Artist Manager at renowned animation studios Disney and Pixar. Her story is already catching on in the media and transcending art beats with recent stories in Curating LA and Animation Magazine.
