If you’re free this Saturday, June 1st, and in Santa Monica, CA, then try to check out the world premiere of Mile…Mile & A Half, a feature-length documentary by an LA-based collective of multimedia artists and outdoor enthusiasts called The Muir Project. The film follows the group as they hiked the entire John Muir Trail in July 2011 and brought their recording gear along the way. 219 miles in 25 days.

I had the pleasure of working with them last fall when they launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for their film, and I’m proud to say that they exceeded their goal. This weekend will be the grand unveiling of their tireless efforts and filmmaking talent to the world.

More notably, The Muir Project is making indie film festival Dances with Films history by not only selling out their premiere in four days, but also adding a second “dueling” screening on the same day.
