Jeremy McNamara Takes Up Residency at Avocados and Coconuts

As a lifelong Bay Area man who has directed past projects with Avocados and Coconuts, Jeremy McNamara is thrilled to be taking up permanent residency there. Shooting home skateboarding videos with his friends growing up, he has since parlayed that passion into vivid documentary work that has netted him three Vimeo Staff Picks. His deft eye for natural light, handheld visuals, and overlooked communities is on full display in Carl, a short film about a 53-year-old Iowa man working to get his high school diploma. McNamara simultaneously became a tour-de-force in the commercial space. Just ask brands like Clif Bar, Nike, and Taylor Stitch. He is currently editing a short documentary about a female skateboarding pioneer.
