Midnight Sherpa Visualizes Our Hidden Frontier For Applied Materials

Have you ever seen the Nanosphere? Chances are you haven't. It's a frontier that’s invisible to the naked eye yet is everywhere in the products we use. Creative studio Midnight Sherpa created an immersive 3D journey into this unseen world where Applied Materials works every day developing memory chip components.

Two years in the making, it's the studio's most ambitious 3D-animated project to date. Everything you see is true-to-scale in nanometers -- that's nearly one billionth of a meter! Midnight Sherpa had to become students of the field to pull it off, working closely with the brilliant minds at Applied Materials to ensure scientific verity in the tiniest of details.
